I had this obsessive idea to make a two-seated battle mech (where both pilots are on different levels. The sliding canopy (please see the youtube video ) was the most challenging part to make (the aesthetics of it to be exact). And I must admit I’m quite happy with how this MOC turned out. It’s very pose-able and I like it’s color scheme a lot, it’s just different.
The Duality class features
Sliding main canopy, opening top canopy
2 pilots (pilot and gunner)
Multi-position JET booster engines
Auto-cannon which can fold on the back of the mech
I think I’ve created probably the smallest icebreaker built of LEGO® bricks!
I had a LEGO® passenger plane set (this one). And I was looking at the big piece used for the tail of the plane. Something ticked and I challenged myself to make a small ship based on that single piece, it was like a sport (is it possible to make a ship with a bow like that?). Naturally, I thought of an icebreaker. And a fun build it was which took me almost two days to perfect to the level I’d like to share with you. It features a very nice interior as well!
One rotating (360 degrees) and swiveling heavy charged laser cannon
Two rotating and swiveling accutron sniper cannons
Two Variable Thrust Vector Quantum Vacuum Engines
There is a funny story with this one. I started building it 4 years ago. It all started with the LEGO® piece 47406, which I thought would be a great “nose” for a spaceship and I had one from Sentai Fortress set. So I started building it with the limited number of parts I had (at that time I was just coming out of the LEGO dark ages :)). Shortly after that, my two daughters were born. So I had to delay the construction for more or less 4 years with limited time to work on the model. And now, finally, I’ts finished! So I thought, why don’t I make matching instructions. Which, in fact, took so much time and effort to complete that I almost gave up.
This is the first post on a (hopefully) long journey to document my creations from LEGO® bricks. I have always been fascinated by mecha, space, and sci-fi. Some 4 years ago I rediscovered my passion of creating using LEGO® bricks and it seems that it has been growing ever since.
A lot has changed since 1997(the year that I stopped playing with LEGO® because I was “too old” for it), so many bricks to choose from and such a big community to learn from. In this blog I will post all sorts of LEGO® Mocs, pictures and instructions. God knows, maybe I’ll even add a review or whatever comes to my mind :). I’ve also created a YouTube channel, which you can visit here
